Music is an integral part of worship. It’s also not nearly as important as we often make it. The Scriptures present singing as joyous and vital part of the church’s worship: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Col 3:16).
